Comparison between Blogger and WordPress, which one is the best?

The difference and comparison between blogger and WordPress is complicated in a way. This two platforms is the most popular platforms bloggers use in managing their contents, here I want to analyze the two to get the best out of the two.

Template Design: when it comes to design of your blog, WordPress is the best, with its thousands of templates both free and premium ones. You can easily fix whatever you want to fix and customize it to your satisfaction. Blogger have few default templates you can use for your blog, though not too attractive but can be customized but it requires some little knowledge of HTML. There are also free templates you can use in blogger and install for free, they are designed by individuals. For design, WordPress is the winner.


Simplicity: opening a blog in blogger is quite easy and free, blogger is so simple to use for example mybiohub is a blogger site, it is the first place most bloggers started from before they became experts, ranging from its user friendly templates, layouts and easy posting method. WordPress is good but not that easy to use, you need to have some knowledge about hosting, domain name and WordPress installation, though there are some videos that helps you to understand the steps, but it's little bit complicated. Blogger wins when it comes to simplicity.

Plugins: WordPress have lots of plugins you can use in your blog that performs lots of functions. Blogger have very few plugins in their own platform which makes most of the things done in blogger to be through editing the HTML of the website. WordPress is the winner in this section.

In blogger you do not own the blog, it belongs to Google they have the right to delete your blog anytime, but the good news is that you can have a domain name and point it to blogger, at least you have the right over your domain name which Google can't take from you.

Stability: when I talk of stability, am talking about your website uptime and not going off and on, Google maintains one of the best stable database, that's why your blogger blog will always be online 24/7. For WordPress it all depends on where you hosted your website, the host company determines your website stability.

They are both good it all depends on what you really want from your blog. From the above reasons you should be able to know the one that suits you best.
