1. Know your competitors: you don't just jump into anything without knowing the people that were there before you. You have to know why they reached the level they are today and look for their weak points or the sides they are not covering, that's where strike your point on.

Popularity of your niche: Is your niche one of  the most popular in the Internet world, maybe you blogging about sports, which is very popular, you have to know what you have to offer to have your own blog stand in that niche, sometimes posts that talks negatively about some stars in sports makes their fans angry with you which leads to them coming to your blog all the time in other to attack you through their comments which in turn makes your blog great and increases your popularity, this might sound crazy but it works perfectly.

3. Target Audience: who are the people you want to get to your websites? Youths, ladies, guys or both sexes, you must know your target audience. If your blog will be about the ladies, you have to think about how you are going to get ladies specifically for your blog, this you can do through social media, by paying for your page sponsorship and selecting only females as your target audience, you can do so too in twitter.

4. Time: do u want to spend much time posting daily or weekly or monthly, you must know how you want to be posting in other to keep your visitors busy each time they visit your website. Just as you manage your time so does your fans, they come to check your blog and see if there's anything new from time to time, so plan your time well.

Type of Platform: what type of platform are you going to use for your blog, the popular is the WordPress and Blogger (owned by google), the WordPress involves paying for hosting and domain name which can cost you some cash, while the blogger is a free platform that runs on a free domain system such as yourdomain.blogspot.com although you can buy a custom domain example yourdomain.com
